A flyer ID is not required for an observer assisting you in flying a drone. The primary responsibility for the operation of the drone lies with the pilot in command, who must hold the appropriate certifications and meet the regulatory requirements. The observer's role is to provide support, such as keeping visual line of sight with the drone and helping to ensure safety, but they do not need to have a flyer ID themselves.

It's important to understand that even without a flyer ID for the observer, the pilot remains fully accountable for the actions during the flight. This means that while the observer contributes to the flight’s safety, the onus of compliance with regulations and safe operation is solely with the pilot.
